Skyware has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to supply an IoT manhole monitoring service solution with Mamiel, a company specializing in IoT firmware and sensor communications.
The two companies have combined Skyware’s mobile smart platform, OTP secure communication and big data monitoring technologies with Mamiel’s IoT firmware design and sensor communication technologies. Together, they have supplied an IoT monitoring solution to SK Broadband over the past four years and carried out pilot installations in district offices across Seoul.
The IoT manhole monitoring solution uses sensors to detect temperature, humidity, gas concentration and water pressure inside manholes in real time, helping workers identify hazards in advance and work safely. Under this agreement, the two companies will increase R&D investment and plan to enhance manhole management capabilities by applying machine learning · AI.
